Disappearing
Breed
Cowboys
are a disappearing breed,
They
are dying out faster then their steeds.
Barb
wire crosses country far and wide,
A
pickup may replace his horses hairy hide.
He
once was the only way to get cattle to the town,
But
now the truckers bring them down.
A
few cowboys still ride the wild country,
They'll
soon be gone, the loss then you will see.
You
have seen him ride a bronc down at the rodeo,
And
in country tunes he's immortalized we know.
Have
you ever thought it thru what actually it means,
To
be a real cowboy is not exactly what it seems.
You
have to be a strong man to handle broncs every day,
For
herding cattle and eating dust he don't receive much pay.
But
when it comes to freedom, family and our land,
With
his last breath he'll fight and stand.
